Played in the Games and Stuff Grand Prix DC Trial (24 REL) yesterday. Made 5th
out of 35 players with a 4-1-1 record. Made 3rd-4th in Top 8. My list: 2 Birds

Terramorphic Expanse 2 Baneslayer Angel 4 Cunnning Sparkmage 1 Stoneforge
Mystic 1 Basilisk Collar 1 Behemoth Sledge 2 Dauntless Escort 2 Great Sable
Stag 2 Manabarbs Round 1: 0-2 vs B/RDW Game 1 I mulligan once or twice and lose
because I can't find a green source. Game 2 I mulligan to four, not having seen
my opponent play a black source game 1, I walk into a turn 3 Blightning. 0-1
Round 2: 2-1 vs Naya Allies Game 1 I miss seeing Lightning Bolt and lose to
double Akoum Battlesinger and Kabira Evangel. Games 2 and 3, I keep him locked
down with Cunning Sparkmage and Basilisk Collar. 1-1 Round 3: 2-0 vs G/W Aggro
Opponent is really not a good player and sweep him both games. Keep him down
with Spark-Collar game 2. 2-1 Round 4: 2-1 vs Naya Allies Lose game one two
Kabira Evangel and Kazuul Warlord. Games 2 I win via Spark-Collar. Game 3, he
has me on the run until I drop Gideon Jura. 3-1 Round 5: 1-1-1 vs Jund Game 1,
he kills my Noble Hierarch, and subsequently picks off every one of my
creatures. Game 2, we go into a 30 minute stall after he cast double Siege-Gang
Commander. I eventually win off recurring triple Vengevine and swinging with
them and a Knight of the Reliquary holding Behemoth Sledge. Game 3 we go to
turns. Probably the least fun round of Magic I've played in some time. 3-1-1
Round 5: 2-0 vs W/U Chapin The match-up I have been literally begging for all
day. Easily my favorite match-up, I'm not sure why so many people find it so
difficult. Game 1, he casts turn 5 Day of Judgment, and a turn 7 Martial Coup,
wiping my insane board both times. He chumps my Vengevine and Scute Mob until I
find a Behemoth Sledge and win. Game two he sees a Path to Exile and a Day of
Judgement, but loses to Vengevines. 4-1-1 Quarterfinals: 2-1 vs Eldrazi
Conscription Bant Game 1, opponent sees early Rhox War Monk and Baneslayer
Angel. I use Knight of the Reliquary to find a Tectonic Edge to kill his
Celestial Collonade. Stabilize with topdeck Gideon Jura. Eventually win of
swinging with a Knight holding Behemoth Sledge, getting Exlated triggers of 4
Noble Hierarch. Game 2, he sees turn 3 Sovereigns of Lost Alara and puts
Eldrazi Conscription on his Lotus Cobra. Game 3, I knock off Hierarch and Cobra
with Sparkmage, and win with Knight, Ranger of Eos and Wild Nacatls.
Semifinals: 0-2 vs RDW Opponent keeps me of Cats and Hierachs with Staggershock
and Forked Bolt both games. Definitely this decks toughest match.
